Block 45 of 368

I felt like plying with layers and reverse appliqué.  This method is simple, but uses a lot of fabric.

I layered 4 blocks of fabric - the purple, orange, green and red.  Then I used a straight stitch and randomly sewed waves across.  Using sharp embroidery scissors I cut out top layers for each section. Sewing down the edge with a zig zag before cutting the next section.

Once done cutting layers and zigzagging the edges I made my quilt sandwich.  I then did a quick echo stitch along each zigzag.  And here we are!
